I have some old 5p's and 10p's dating from after the Second World War to the late seventies. I tried a couple of banks and the post office. They won't take them. Can I get rid of them anywhere?

Donate your unwanted currency at a Sainsburys travel money bureau and help The Royal British Legion - should be a donation box there
Some Oxfam shops will take them too1 -
You could probbly sell them on local FB group or similar, no idea of costings and they are not rare but would be of interest to say car booters / bric a brac
