I was looking for alternative careers to try and felt transcription is worth considering. I already have a little experience in the field but that was a couple years back.
I came across a post on audio transcription types. I wanted to know if people who work as freelancers offer a specific type of audio transcription or work according to what their client requests? Any information/tips would be really helpful!

If you look on a site such as this one: https://www.peopleperhour.com/services/audio+typing?ref=search it'll give you an idea what people are offering, the sort of rates being charged and the promised turn round time for delivery. You'll need to be a fast, accurate typist and be able to stick to promised delivery dates. If you advertise what you want to offer, that should ensure you aren't stuck trying to transcribe (say) huge amounts of medical terminology when you have no expertise in that field.
