Sorry to ask a stupid question. i am on a dmp with stepchange and about to try and pay all my debts off as i have some money from my inheritance, i am looking into writing to them all to ask for cca but if they come back without one do i tell stepchange to stop paying them???

Sending off CCA requests is definitely the way to go and at this point I would be going self-managed anyway and stop making any further payments to all off them until you know the outcome of the CCAs. Stepchange will naturally want to keep making payments and are unlikely to agree to you dropping some and not others. Of course that doesn't mean you can't, you can tell them to remove a creditor - but its easier to self-manage the situation.0
