What happens when nothing turns up?

i went to exhibition at beginning of november and randomly entered a competition for quite a high value item,
they rang me later in the day to say i'd won, fantastic, they said they'd email me confirmation (nothings come) and it would be with me by end of november (nothings come),
dont know what to do, know someone who works for the company in question and he's looking into it but dont know how much he can do because its usually promotional companies that do the events
really eager for it to come and worried because i have no proof, what do i dooooo

Hmm toughy, ring them. Explain that you had a call from them and still haven't heard anything. Im sure they can chase it up with the promotional company. Good luck.

Contact as many people as you can to do with the prize, someone will have to give you a straight answer, if you can call them even better as emails can be ignored, its harder to ignore a person "face to face" so to speak

Good luck with getting your prize :)
  • Sorry to hear you're having problems. If you try contacting them a couple of times and they don't get back to you, say you're going to contact these people:

    http://www.isp.org.uk/contact.php?pid=21

If they still don't get back to you, contact the ISP and they should help you to sort it out. ('If you have a problem with an individual promotion and think that it should be investigated, please email us at complaints@isp.org.uk.')

    Good luck. :)

  • I'm still waiting for a comp I won in April in Yours magazine I contacted yours who gave me the telephone number of the people that put the comp in and they have to contact the company who should send the prize. I have called around 6 times and every time "someone will get back to you" I have just called them today and they said they will call back tomorrow.
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something
