What small DFW things will you do this week 12/07

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Hi all
Hope you don’t mind me starting off again this week.
Sorry for not posting much last week, I was pretty busy with work ahead of my time off this week. No long to do lists this week, other than getting through my exam tomorrow, I have a handful of bits planned and want to recharge my batteries as I’m not off again until the beginning of September. Today’s priority is revision, revision and more revision. This morning I had to take my car in for a minor repair which was covered under the warranty and had to get new windscreen wipers which was over £30 😕😕

Thanks for starting the thread Betharooni. Not sure where everyone is these days!Today I have / will:Dog walk first thing, free exerciseUsual tidy up etcSowed carrots, radishes, chard and perpetual spinachFed beans, tomatoes, cucumbers and the little flower garden that I have made in the previously grim pathway to the back gate at the bottom of the garden. The fishbox came today, so sorted and froze most of that. Kept lemon sole fillets out for dinner, and very nice they were too! Not cheap, but a lovely treat. We don't have takeaways and hardly ever eat out (not at all since covid began
), so don't mind buying something special to cook at home every now and again.
Worked at the shop where I rent my sales unit this afternoonGave neighbour a big bag of food that the dog refuses to eat - their dog may as well have it as it sit in my cupboard forever, and it is moneysaving for them (young family) if not for me. My little horror had major surgery back in March, and got spoiled a bit to tempt him to eat, and now refuses to eat anything but chicken with his biscuits. Luckily he only weighs about 4.2 kilos so we are only talking tiny amounts. Needless to say I am always looking for yellow sticker chicken when I am in the supermarket, but even if I have to pay full price it probably doesn't cost much more than the premium dog food I bought for him before.Still need to pick the berries in the garden. The strawberries are coming to an end sadly, but the loganberries are fruiting now. They are a bit sharp to eat raw, so I am freezing these for pie fillings, or possibly jam (with raspberries) later on.1 -
Morning all!
Sorry haven't been around much just haven't had the motivation to do anything
So I've kicked myself up the butt and got myself back into gear! I also had the good news that I should be having the money from the house by the end of the month! So that also helps pay towards fixing my car at the end of the month which at a rough guess is about £300I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Afternoon all,
I'm just about to get the washing off the line and put fresh washing on there. Going to water my plants and strawbs and maybe move my greenhouse to a sunnier spot.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards.
