One letter with each of their letter numbers clearly noted. You will note that at the bottom of the letters there will be something to the effect 'This is not subject to High Court enforcement' which confirms they are not acting as bailiffs and their grubby programme's title is just there to confuse and intimidate - just typical of the shonky business arena in which they operate! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Again, you must tell the PPC!
DCB Limited can be ignored, or you can include them in your cease and desist notice, but you MUST tell the principal, the organ grinder, the unregulated parking company.
You should also complain to your MSP.
That "Can't pay or will take it away" moto is from a TV programme. There were complaints made about the company, which was actually their sister company DCB Legal, and the programme producers which is no longer being shown as a result of the complaints.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

in this case I should maybe wait until a letter is sent to her from this DCB Legal? Does anyone have an example of what this looks like so I can tell her to look out for it? Do the companies have different logos?Fruitcake said:Again, you must tell the PPC!

Years ago I ended up paying a bunch of money to a parking company when they took me to court. I totally bottled it, went to see a lawyer and he proclaimed (jokingly) that i would end up on the front of the local paper (in vicotry). That struck the fear of death into me so i just paid. Kind of annoys me that I did that now, honestly. That being said, i do get how and why these things can frighten someone, particularly and older person. i am armed with info and will hopefully be able to resolve this for her.Umkomaas said:

Yeah, I'm a bit saddened this is even allowed to happen, a letter with a can't pay logo on it, i mean seriously. Vile!Coupon-mad said:We wish you’d come here instead of wasting time in a lawyer! We’ve been doing this for over a decade with huge success.
Sounds like you will be an ideal person to respond with evidence to the Government Consultation this Summer. We need people with evidence and strong public opinion on the level of parking charges and who can tell the Government about the horrific games PPCs play, intimidating people, misusing the courts and adding false costs on top of an already extortionate ‘penalty’.1 -
It needs saying even though the final Government consultation is going to be specifically about the level of parking charges.Nothing to stop us also commenting, as we must drum this point home, that the use of unregulated, aggressive and misleading debt recovery agents who add false costs yet operate on a no-win-no-fee basis (so there is no cost to the PPC at all) MUST END.Small claims court is the right route unless the Government come up with a Tribunal alternative but I don’t think that’s on the cards and leads to bailiffs even quicker. So, small claims fees are the only sum that can be added to a parking charge. The MHCLG must hear from people who are horrified by the misleading phrases used by the utterly unnecessary parasite debt firms, some of whom (ZZPS and Solutionlabs UCS) are apparently being run by people previously at Roxburgh Debt Recovery, who were banned by the OFT for being unfit to have a licence.
...yet up pops a phoenix new firm, worse than before by all accounts. They all don suits and no doubt try to persuade the MHCLG that they are some sort of vital middle man who don’t treat people like dirt. Read their Trustpilot reviews and it tells the real story about how they talk to victims on the phone.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This is what firms of that ilk do:

The new law will be mirrored in Scotland by the way, so it’s vital you comment and show your evidence (the MHCLG always ask for evidence) when the final technical consultation opens soon.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just to say I was waiting on her receiving another letter but there has been nothing in the post. I assume they've realised they were onto nothing and have dropped it.
Thank you all for the help.
