Please suggest a digital bedside clock that will not burn a hole in my retina?

I am self isolating so don’t go out shopping, and need some advice in selecting a bedside clock or clock radio.
I have a nice Casio Quartz DQ-580 alarm clock which has small black characters on a whiteish background, but at night I now can’t discern the time without my glasses. Consequently, I could just buy a clock to tell the time and use the Casio as my alarm.
Over the last few years I have bought 2 digital alarm clocks both of which have black characters on a whitish background which tend to burn a hole in my retina when I turn the internal light on at night.
Should I be considering a clock with red, green or white characters on a black background, or will they tend to burn my retina too? Additionally, are they very bright at night and keep me awake?
Alternatively, Is there an inexpensive bedside lamp with a touch button that I can place next to one of the 2 digital alarm clocks to see the time? I could place a low wattage lamp in it so that it isn’t bright.
It can sometimes be difficult to determine which are the hour and minute arms on an analog clock, so that is probably no good.
I would consider a clock radio, and quite like the Sony cube radio, I have seen reports that the radio and the alarm are not very good but I am not bothered about that, all that I am interested in is being able to see the time when it’s dark. Does anyone have one and are the characters quite dim when the lowest of the 3 settings is used?

Hi wasty
I have a digital clock, it's black with 1.8" large red digital display numbers. It doesn't wake me up at night because it emits red light. It's called LLOYTRON alarm clock, currently £16.98 on Amazon.

What about one of those clocks that project the time onto the ceiling or wall? I'm not sure if the numbers would be big enough for you to read, but you could choose the location where it projects onto and as long as it's close enough it might be ok.

An alternative approach is to have an Alexa or similar in the bedroom - my Mum does that and simply has to ask "Alexa, what is the time please?" to be told the time. Nothing to look at or read.1
