All the documents have been checked off but still no offer why?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone experienced the same, we submitted btl with NatWest on 14 of May. All the documents have been checked off on application tracker weeks ago, and MB calls NatWest everyday for us to chase for the past 2 weeks, but NatWest always told MB everything is fine, you’ll have offer today or latest tomorrow… but we are getting the same message for the past two weeks, and MB seems can’t find out what caused the delayed as BDM always tell him there’s no problem…

@tracy_l Natwest has been pretty quick the last month so 2 weeks with no movement or further queries does sound a bit odd. I haven't done a NatWest BTL in a few months though, only resi.
Anything unusual/non-standard about the case at all? Non owner-occupier?

When was the valuation done and do you or your broker have the results?

It a remortgage btl and currently has tenants as well. If there’s anything wrong, will BDM tell our broker everything is fine? @K_S

@tracy_l I'm working off of the very limited info in your post, but normally, the BDM has no reason to tell the broker that it's all ok if it isn't.

Yes, it has been done on 15 June and all came back fine. I thought we will have offer by now, but still no offer yet. I just feel there’s something caused the delay, but can’t find out why

Not accusing you of malfeasance, but my MB had told me that if the bank suspected wrong-doing they wouldn't tell the MB clearly. And even if the MB was told, that they could not tip off the applicant.

I don’t think this is in my case, but good to know, I have never heard of wrong-doing before!
