as bad as this sounds i have been with my wife for four years and bought every romatic idea that ever came into my head, i always go overboard and buy everything i can think of and now it has backfired on me because i dont have a clue on what to get. we got married this year on august 31st and so have very little money left and so have decided to only spend £75 on each other but have both recently realised that this is going to be harder than we both thought, in the past i have named neighbouring stars for us, bought everlasting roses, bought a peice of comet that has been round longer than the earth and made it into a necklace and told her that the rock had been around before us and i would love her for as long as we are here and after we are gone, now by reading this you will probably think that she is into space etc but unfortunatly not, just me but i know she found the thought touching, i just have completly run out of ideas and before anyone notices the post underneither, yes she really did ask for a hoover and i am only getting it as a joke to give her before i give her whatever i can think of as the real present. thankyou all for any help you can give, also she is 27 if this helps and yes i would really like to see a second christmas with my wife incase anyone was wondering.... ha ha thankyou all again.

In my opinion, forget buying expensive novelty gifts. If you really want to impress her then take time to make something truly personal. A compilation cd for example with you're wedding photo on the cover. Maybe you could make her a card from crafts material (this is more effective and sweet if you're crap at crafts). Write her a letter explaining how you feel about her and seal it in a special envelope.
Or buy her a plot of land on the moon I guess

she would hate a plot of land on the moon but im guessing that was ment to be funny? and if i gave her just a letter for christmas i know she would be touched be the sentiment but i think she would feel very let down that i couldnt think of a single thing to get for her on our first chrismas as husband and wife. thankyou though.0

How about an eternity ring (unless she already has one!) or some keepsake item of jewellery, maybe you could engrave your names on them, or even something to do with its the fact it's your first xmas, that way you can look back on it for years to come....well that's what i'd love anyway!
Just remembered something else- when my mom and dad got married nearly 30 years ago he got her a small gold locket with 'to(name) love (name) and inside the locket he wrote her a letter, she has kept it to this day :PFr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0 -
Why not just take her away, for the night, or even book 2 flights somewhere and spend the day in anouther country.
My late husband did that once. He booked 2 flights to malaga, we got on the first flight there and the last flight back.
We just spent the day walking on the beach, had lunch in a cafe, and bought a few tacky things.
A brilliant day.0 -
What about contacting a local photographer and having some nice pictures taken of the two of you. Or taking her out on christmas eve and re-creating your first date and then giving her a gift on christmas day that is a "keepsake" of thoso dates?

I've just done a few personalised newspapers for someone, mainly humourous, but you can use your own story and your own words rather than just altering what they suggest and you put in your own photograph. You could use a wedding photograph and be as romantic as you like.
Three of them I completed the order on Thursday and they were delivered this morning.0 -

by the way, my moms locket is tiny- the note my dad did is about an inch square, he wrote tiny then folded it to fit.Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0
