Wrapping finished baskets - AAARGH!

Having done a couple of baskets so far and wrapped them (very successfully to my surprise) in cellophane, I am now struggling to wrap them in Chrismas paper in order to conceal their contents from the recipients untill Christmas morning, I have tried putting tissue behind the cellophane but it looked messy, does anyone have any good tips for wrapping them in paper? I have done one and left the top bit with the ribbon sticking out but it doesnt look so good
HELP!!!

I've got to wrap mine too, I was thinking of either, layering the xmas paper underneath the cellophane but cutting it short so there's no sticky out bits, or, doubling up the christmas paper (for strength) and wrapping the same way as the cellophane but over it. Difficult to explain really. I'll probs just buy large gift bags and bung 'em in that lol, they sell them in Morrisons, fancy adult ones for £2.99 for 2.0

Sorry, a bit off the point, but I have been trying to buy cellophane and can't find any - where did you get yours please ?0

I bought some large gift sacks from poundland to put all my hampers in, they look really good, and you can't see what's inside.
Like you I tried lining my first hamper with tissue paper but i'm unhappy with it,as i feel it ruins the effect, so i may be re-doing that one:rolleyes:Murphy's No More Pies Club member # 140 - lost 40 lbs

morganlefay - I got my cellophane from e-bay a seller called nickschicks. They've got plenty of christmas choices and plain, i even think you can get an opaque cellophane too

They also sell the pull bows to complete the lookMurphy's No More Pies Club member # 140 - lost 40 lbs

I struggled wrapping my finished hampers/baskets in Christmas paper as well so I used gift bags in the end.0

I wrapped mine by folding the paper up bit by bit and sellotaping as I went. I left the top out so that the bow is still visible.
I just want to say how fantastic this thread has been - very inspirational!
