Stain removal on vinyl flooring

Hi,
Sorry, I dont know if this is the right forum, I have quite a large stain on the vinyl flooring in our utility room. I temporarily stored a rolled up rubber mat I use to put under my weights bench for a couple of days and I've tried everything imaginable I can think of to remove it but to no avail. I have a feeling it could be kerosine or petrol based.
I've included a photo of the stain below.

Maybe use a gentle abrasive like a Brillo pad, toothpaste, brass cleaner? Have you tried bleach?2

Have you tried a Magic Sponge?Oven Pride make one, it's called Erase Away, costs £1 @ Home Bargains.2

I find the Pink Stuff paste is brilliant at removing stains (and it works on vinyl flooring). I bought my last tub of it from Aldi but I think they also sell it in £Land.

First thought was WD40 if it seems to be oil based. Failing that, a magic sponge with fairy liquid will likely do the trick.
Do come back and let us know if it works.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -

"Will rubber mats damage vinyl flooring?Rubber, both the natural and synthetic, is not safe to use with vinyl floors because it reacts with the chemicals found in vinyl and causes staining. Heat from sunlight or by the friction of foot traffic on rubber backed rug pads causes this chemical reaction."Had a similar problem in my bathroom caused by walking in and out wearing "rubber" shoes.0
