    @dunstonh I've since spoken to my insurer and we've come to an agreeable renewal quote. I'd also heard good things about NFU and will speak to them too.

    Just want to say a massive thanks to all of you for your replies and comments to my query.

    You say your premiums have doubled.

    How much have your premiums increased by compared to the total cost of the claim, net of your excess?

    Where's the "break even" point had you not claimed and paid for all the work yourself?
    How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)
