I dont think you get halogen light bulbs only low energy bulbs (Philips) which you can get for for as little as 39p each. It can take over 6 months even in a quite period to get the work done. Never received a power down socket when I got the grant in the Summer I assume this may have changed

The work is based on the home and not on you so if you move you can reapply assuming you qualify on income and house needs the work. Bare in mind that once work is done depending on what is done you may not be able to get any more work done for many years

Getting CTC or WFTC may actually put you above the threshold, it did with us, only we got a very small amount of CT so we reapplied and got a grant for loft insulation only

They must have changed it I have had a grant twice in recent years, two houses and its always been low energy bulbs. I actually bought gu 5.3 halogen bulbs because the bulbs they supplied were of little use as must lights in house are non standard.

Its a shame they still arent flexible as the bulbs may not be of any use to some houses

Income support is just one biggest Freebie of them all.

(and I am not talking about those who need Disability Allowance, Pension credits or those who ACTUALLY need it)

    It gets my goat! Sorry

I have done a search on google and cant find any mention of this at all anywhere. Warmfront certainly don't do this, they do the grant work though, I got this confirmed twice unless the person on phone is lying or doesn't know about this.
