Superdrug Colour Performance hair dye.- free?

I had an email from Superdrug inviting me to sample a box of their Colour Performance hair dye for free. (RRP £4.99)
The instructions were to scan my Health & Beauty card & then £00.00 to pay!
In store only.
They have had IT issues with the offer but when I went in earlier this week they had a specific barcode (by till) to scan to activate the offer.
I don't know if the deal is only if a) you are invited or b) if you usually purchase hair dye. However if you are going in the shop anyway it may be worth a try.
