Received a refund letter from Elderbridge
Has anyone else received a letter from Elderbridge saying they are due a refund of X thousand pounds on a debt they made good years ago?? The letter states we need to send proof of ID documents and bank account details, which to me sounds really dubious??!! Is this letter legitimate? Any help would be gratefully received.

Yes, lots of people. It's legitimate.
They won't deal with you without confirming your ID, for obvious reasons.2 -
Hi, I received a letter a few weeks ago to say I was entitled to a refund of over £1000, I too thought is this legit? I phoned a number for them I found through google and spoke to a very helpful man who explained why people were due the refunds etc… I sent my details via post and received my refund into my bank account today.Beth13 said:Has anyone else received a letter from Elderbridge saying they are due a refund of X thousand pounds on a debt they made good years ago?? Relates to historical FIRSTPLUS Loans.
Part of barclays I believe.0 -
Hi saw this thread and wanted to ask under what circumstances are refunds being given. Took a loan with FirstPlus in 2007 and taken over by Elderbridge however not received a letter0

Does anyone have any reason as to why they were refunded ? I too a loan with FirstPlus, never missed a payment and settled last year but always felt the interest rates were higher than should be is this the case for the others that have been refunded?? They called me today about a complaint I put in after reading some forums and I’m waiting for them to call
Me back ??0
