I have an idea

I have an invention idea, but other than a general test it, try different materials, I am not too sure about product development, patenting etc. Can anyone recommend where to find information please?

I'm actually an engineer, but this is a very different product from the ones I work on both technologically and customer base.

    Morning Kinwp :)

I can't help with product development because you will need to keep your invention secret so we have no idea about your product, but do know a little about patenting.

Your best bet to start is the government website - as a new member I can't post links, so we can do it this way.

Go to the gov dot uk website.
In the address bar, add this to the URL :
    /patent-your-invention/decide-to-apply

Everything you need to know is there - with links on getting yourself a patent adviser/attorney and so on.

Am excited for you - hope all goes as well as you would wish.

    Good luck :)
