It's worth getting a card if you're eligible and going to have a look, making your own mind up whether it's worth using or not (some people I know don't think it's very cheap but I do)

I went to one recently.  I was able to open an account with them as I am a key worker for the local authority.

I quite like the idea of it but it seemed like a TK Maxx for food, everything everywhere.  There were some "regular" customers who seemed to know where everything was and I just walked around like I was in a jumble sale.  I started chatting to one of the customers and she told me to go first thing in the morning when all the new stuff came in but it was too far for me to travel to it that early.

There were some proper bargains to be had, got some large bags of corn puffs for 5p each and a 4 pack of fancy mint chocolate mousses for 10p.  Both were close to their expiry dates though.  There were some beauty things as well heavily reduced from their original prices at Boots.

They send emails out once a week with extra special offers but they make it clear it's first come first served.

I'm a healthcare worker and there's one near where I work.
I visit probably once a week and I can only describe it as random mentalness.
There are things that you can pretty much buy almost all of the time. Hummus, yoghurt, fruit and veg, bacon, chicken. There's things that you see once and never again. Some things are so unbelievably cheap it's unreal. Some things are not such a bargain.
My other half likes to cook and he'll plan our meals based on what we have in the fridge/freezer/cupboards. It's literally like Ready, Steady Cook in our house when I've visited the Company Shop.
    Some of my best bargains:
    1kg chicken legs/wings/drumsticks 7p.
    1kg chicken breast 75p
    Hummus 7p
    Bacon 70p
    Yoghurt 4 pack 5p
Free bananas, carrots, parsnips, potatoesCrackers 20p
    Brie 30p
    Peanut butter 10p

I go after work around 6pm. You start seeing 75% off stickers on things that are really very cheap to begin with and if it can go in the freezer it would be rude not to.
It can be quite addictive. I love it!

For clarity, you can only join if you work in these work areas or in receipt of a pension from those work areas or means tested benefits

At the moment a number of additional sectors are eligible because of helping with Covid. It's temporary though so anyone inter4ested should apply ASAP.
