Mortgage product transfer and cancer

Hi
Does anyone know if your mortgage lender need to know about your cancer diagnosis and being off sick when you are doing a product transfer with the same lender. It is only a small mortgage. And the repayments will still be being made and you still have a job and you are going back to work in a few months. Many thanks
