Overdale solicitors

Hi. Newbie here. Got a claim letter from court. 2 debts. 1st a doorstep loan 2nd EE phone contract. Overdale solicitors taking me to court. I have returned letter to court to request the extra 14 days to defend. Sent a cca letter to overdales . Had a reply saying. The EE contract is not covered by cca 1974 so they do not need to produce am agreement and they have requested documents for the doorstep loan, will be in touch when they receive it. I really am not able to pay it all but don't want a ccj. Can i request a discounted settlement? If so what sort of discount is reasonable to ask for? Sorry, really struggling with this. Any help greatfully recieved.

Did you not receive an LBA (letter before action) prior to the claim pack ?

    Because you should have done.

If you want to make a settlement offer I suggest you be quick to avoid this going to a hearing.

    Hi.
I think I did receive an LBA a while ago. I suppose I hoped it would go away.
