Hi all,
I’m a first time buyer of a new build and due to complete on Wednesday. I spoke to my solicitor on Friday who said she requested for my funds to be drawn down on 9th June (the lender advised this due to the volume going through with the stamp duty deadline). She said they had confirmed funds would be released providing the build certificate was with them by 4pm today (Monday), which was sent to them on Friday.

I just want to know if this is it now, is it unlikely anything can go wrong? As you can imagine as a first time buyer I’m full of excitement and anxiety!
I asked my solicitor that question and she said the only thing that can really go wrong was a delay in the funds being released due to the banks been so busy, but she was confident as she’d requested them early with the intention of them being in her bank tomorrow.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I was being nice, I said you need to chill out as you're getting yourself worked up over something no one here has the answer to other than your solicitor who has already answered your question.

New build, so you’ve already exchanged? I’m sure everything will go well. Enjoy your new home.1
