What small DFW things will you do this week 28/06?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Evening all,
I phoned 118 money on my lunch break and they told me they sold my loan to another company. I now await a letter from them to set up a payment plan with them. I don't mind as interest still isn't being added etc. I got home to a parcel and was selected to test a product, I'm testing vanish oxy stain removerI also get a £15 voucher once completed so might buy a little green house for my cucumber plants!
I'm also awaiting a concealer from Click Research so hopefully that comes soon!
I'm currently sat in my spare room, set up my desk and made a cuppa and I'm going to budget and plan my debts properly, without any distractions!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Evening allMissed yesterday, but thanks Ziggy, for starting the threadFetched smallest GCs from school and pre-school this afternoon, so spent on ice creams. Walked the mile or just over back to their house and looked after them until their parents returned from work. Pushed the little one in the pushchair for most of the way, so plenty of exercise for me today! They live in a very picturesque, touristy village a couple of miles away from us, and it was a lovely walk. My children all went to that village school, so it brought back lots of memories - mostly good, but the school run politics side of things doesn't seem to have improvedOther things:Walked dog first thingHome grown strawberries and loganberries for breakfast - there are loads of strawberries this year!Read meters and entered readings on energy company's web siteUsual cleaning / tidying routineBit of decluttering today - dusted the dresser in the dining room, and got rid of some of the clutter that had been dumped on it / in the drawers. Shredded a load of old bills etc. Also sold a dinner service which had occupied a large cupboard in the sitting room dresser
I will tackle that one tomorrow.
Had leftover frittata for dinner, with salad and a few oven chips. And that is about all - looking forward to a bath and bed!2 -
Quiet day today but got a few admin bits done today, alongside work and watching the England football match:
- Drive brother to work
- Help Mum complete passport details on My P&O Cruises page
- Take picture of cannula sleeves I’ve made
- Put pictures from phone onto computer
- Put pictures from Mum’s phone onto computer
- Put pictures from Mum’s iPad onto computer
- Help Mum sign up for paperless TV License
- Prolific/PMP
- Crochet
Hoping tomorrow will be productive ahead of a busy couple of days with work due to month end processes which need to be completed ahead of a week off in a couple of weeks.B x3 -
Morning folks,
Sorry for being AWOL - RL has just been so hectic with getting back to working 5 days a week. I'm not going to complain though as this month's pay was £500 more than April's pay! (My work structure means that I get an additional day rate for days I work on paid projects, plus the Friday is techincally overtime).
I've been mostly keeping the faith although I got really overexcited last Friday night (possibly linked to aforementioned pay) and wanted to go out for tea. We had a really nice time and I really enjoyed it but it bit me on the bum as I unwittingy ate something that I shouldn't have. Stomach was in bits by the time we got home and I didn't get to sleep until about 2.30am!
Today's small things:WFH
B/L/D as per meal plan
Log cals in free app (have put on half a stone over lockdown and cheaper to lose it than buy new clothes
)
Walk up to allotment to harvest an onion to use in dinner
Work very hard
Free stretching video later - need to get back into this
Have a good one all
