Curry’s PC World

Im looking for some advice regarding a purchase from Curry’s PC World.
I purchased an item for £299.00 and selected to collect from the local branch. I received notification that the item was ready to collect an hour later.
I decided to collect it the following day and in the meantime they cancelled my order. I phoned them and they said it was due to a lack of stock.
I then looked on their website again and could indeed order the item again because they had stock but instead of it being £299 it had risen to £409.
Is this legal?

I don’t see how they’ve broken a law that you could prove. Item wasn’t in stock at the time so they’ve cancelled your order & assuming refunded you.
Could just be ironic timing. Could also be an error on the stocking system. They might have the item but it might be damaged or something but the system hasn’t updated properly.. etc

My very first post in 2008 was a vent about just how dreadful Currys is. Since then I have given Currys another chance and was let down even more badly. Shame on me.76LisaBee said:Im looking for some advice regarding a purchase from Curry’s PC World.
