Signing PDF's

I am trying to sign a PDF using FOXIT READER "fill and sign"

I have done this many times in the past - but now my signature is there, but greyed out

How do I get this to work ?

Hmm, just checked mine that worked fine last week.

Since today's 'upgrade' there is no signature there.

So it's not only me?
My signature is still there but greyed out

Daft idea....

Run it as as an ADMIN user, right click mouse - MORE - Run as administrator.

OK Opened FOXIT as admin - and then selected file that I want - no difference - still greyed out !

Any more suggestions ?

Nope.

If opening the file as admin doesn't work I am out of daft ideas, temporarily.

Still unable to find a way to edit PDF's for free 
I have tried online apps - only to discover that they are not free after all (PDF filler) 
Any suggestions

Adobe's offering will do it (I can understand why you would not want to use it though!).

Failing that. Print it out and use googles docs to scan back to pdf. Are you suer it's set up to have an electronic signiture? Many pdfs are just pdfs hence why I often use print/google docs scan on phone.

I'm not sure what 'fill and sign' actually means. If it is simply inserting an image of your signature into a pdf file, then the Free Basic version of PDFill will do this.

Apache OpenOffice with a PDF Import extension is free. Been using it for decades for minor edits.

Neither Fill and Sign or editing works
Fill and sign is greyed out
