Barclays consent to let - conditions

As you want to let the property permanently, you don't really meet the condition for getting "consent to let".
In reality a lot of people just declare that this is their intention to get the "consent to let" and worry about remortgaging onto a BTL mortgage later.
Have you considered that as a non-resident landlord you will need to file a UK tax return to pay income tax on the rent you receive, and that unless you do that properly the letting agent will be required to withhold 20% of the rent and pay it to HMRC.0 -

On the 2nd point, yes - I'll be applying for NRL status before I leave. (I've also got a tax advisor in place so make sure everything is in order)0 -
Hi, I will probably face a similar situation in a few months, How is your consent to let? Did you get the approval for that?0
