Vacuum Bags - Good for Duvets?

A friend of mine used some vacuum bags and said it made their duvet go all weird and wouldn't go back to normal.
Have been thinking of buying a few for a few bits in the loft.

Cheers!

I have feather duvets and pillows and use vacuum bags with no problems.

I have an all seasons duvet that is "as soft as down", can't recall what is made off sorry, but not feathers.  I use a vacuum bag for the part of it that is out of season, never had a problem.
