Budgeting for next year

Hi everyone, hope you are well.
My question / situation is:
I recently accepted a 12-month Secondment at work with a payrise of about 24%. (My higher position and high salary after this period is not guaranteed.)
My payrise is below the Child Maintenance Service 25% payrise threshold, so they will not recalculate my payments to my children's mum until the next period - which isn't until next June!
I would like to make some sort of "regular overpayments" to her until then, because I don't want a much higher calculation to be made by the CMS (next June) that I may not have budgeted for, come next summer when I may be back in my old position on original, much lower salary.
I have tried to contact the CMS about this but I've found little information on overpayments in their FAQ's eg will it reduce my payments for next year?
(Also, they don't seem to have webchat or a contact number which anybody answers unless you have a new case. 😕)
If anyone could advise, that would be fantastic!
Thank you very much in advance.
Tom

Hi Tom,
My suggestion would be to put your potential new salary into the CMS calculator on the direct.gov website and then work out the difference in what you would be paying on your new salary and what you are currently paying. Then i suggest you put the difference into a savings account so it is there for next year when you have your yearly review. That should then even the payments out.
