DM me when you're ready to chat. You've likely received a quote from a chap named Mark, a real character.

I'll share how to handle him and also suggest ways to ensure that there are no excuses given before you pay your final amount. If you're in London, you're welcome to pop by to see their work.

protip - look up pigeon proofing, unless they mount with no gap underneath.

Increasing number of people facing issues with nesting pigeons, and costs to install post PV installation can be insane.

Defender makes a pigeon spike kit designed for panels. Highly recommended.

  • There are many reputable solar panel manufacturers in the market, and the choice will depend on your budget, energy needs, and other preferences. When choosing a solar panel, it's essential to consider factors such as efficiency, durability, warranty, and cost. Additionally, you may want to research the company's reputation and read reviews from other customers to ensure you're selecting a reliable brand.

On a more serious note we've been trying to deal with First4Solar a lot after inheriting one of their installations after a home buy. They have actually switched all their phone lines over to a telephone answering service and have offered zero support, so we would not recommend them.

My brother used Contact Solar- his quote was good value but not a bargain. He had a bump along the way with them re-scheduling his installation at short notice due to not having the inverter available which you would’ve thought was entirely avoidable. He got his G99 and MCS super quick though. He lives in the middle of nowhere though and properly local installers were not to be found.

I believe First4Solar have recently gone into administration to avoid the swathes of angry customers/suppliers.
