Hi again people. Not sure if this was already covered but does the EV charge point have to be installed by a specific installer or can I get our normal registered electrician to do it?
Also I'm thinking of the Andersen 2 wall unit .... mainly down to costmetics and cable management. Anyone had any experiences?
Some product links for you....

As I understand it, to get the OLEV grant you have to use an OLEV-approved installer. I purchased a new build 3 years ago where the electrician had installed a 7kW EVSE on a 32 amp garage ring main. He had also signed it off as fit for use.jumeriah64 said:Hi again people. Interesting, thanks for that. And in fact, the incoming fuse on our supply is an 80A one which sounds like it should be ok.[Deleted User] said:

I spoke with the Andersen folks earlier and have arrange a survey. Main focus on the Andersen unit is purely cosmetic and has a nice cable winding system. Not sure it has any technical benefits above that.0
