Which job?

Which job would you pick.
The outbound call job as a sole role with the always positive charismatic boss? An atmosphere where you felt at ease from day 1.
(I was concerned the business was quiet but been assured I got this wrong.)
Or
the busy inbound call job where you are one of a few, the higher up seems a little stressed and other fairly new starters saying the job isn’t that easy.
Aware that is has to be me deciding but interested with thanks to hear any opinions.

Personally I wouldn’t choose either because a phone job is my idea of hell.Do you prefer inbound vs outbound, busy or quiet, sole worker or part of a team? Do they pay the same? Which bit is most important to you?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
Worked on both sides, both inbound & outbound & I must say inbound is easier as the caller is actually wanting to speak to you.3

In/Out is only a modest consideration, in my view, if one is sales and the other is customer service that makes a much bigger difference. Obviously the classic outbound call centre in many people's mind is the cold call sales (personally find that job soul destroying) or debt collection (never done it) but you do also get outbound service and people can be happy to speak to you if you're arranging the date that their new sofa will be delivered or such.
Personally I'd decide more based on the job than the management... I've worked in high pressure outbound sales for an outsourcer who wasnt hitting targets and whilst management were stressed and it does come down on you to some degree (depending on your personality) it was still a good bunch of people to work with there and we maybe just hit the bar a bit harder on Thursday nights.2 -
Given your history of your actual employment or the employer not matching your expectations, you need to research both the jobs and both the employers in this case. S*d's Law is you will get rotten job but good employer versus good job but rotten employerIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales3

I agree lincroft1710. A job history which indicates very short term employment over a very long period would suggest that it will make little difference which option is chosen.

Just out of interest, if you don't mind - why do you keep changing jobs?2

Thanking all for the valued opinions, I want to get happy and move away from job hunting once and for all.
I realise I need to get away from call centre work, I've found out there is a way to meet new people that it doesn't have to happen through the work place - for now I have returned to my positive ex boss who has taken me back whilst I figure out stuff. I realise these bosses are like gold dust. I won't apologise for thinking surrounding myself with positive people is the very best thing to do. Can't quite believe it is now a love my boss; hate my job kind of thing.
Why do I keep changing jobs, well, it is like a mental torture. But like I say I do want it to end, I realise I am getting past it. Seems I joined the latest company at a particularly bad time with sky high call levels placing utter stress on stress for the staff which in turn made not the best atmosphere, which seems to be about the story of my luck. I wish it had been clearer as that is what you don't get from a 15 min video link interview so I must accept some responsibility here.
The only thing I had come to realise is I'm not alone - In the job I thought was far better being inbound to the point of taking a pay cut, it had a complete new team - most of the people had only been there a couple of months themselves, with the longest one serving 6 months (who seemed by far the most professional one) so you would think the majority would still be in honeymoon of new job but no, I just found them saying horrendous stuff which I wouldn't expect from some people new in a company, it finished me off on day 4 when someone who would have experienced the same training that I was going through to say I can't wait for you to get on the phone to get a mouthful of abuse from our customers - really, why say such a thing! Why do people sit in jobs (we're talking national min wage job here, as few people as you can employ, make them do three roles in one kind of thing) if they are not happy themselves. I guess as I've never came out with the above line as negatively bad to someone, certainly not within their first week and to someone who is going through the exact same training as you had opportunity of, I am glad I cannot put myself in shoes of people really so unhappy in work with the need to say this sort of stuff very much out loud and so possibly, the best thing I learnt this week is I have left jobs before getting to the point off being so negative verbally - I am of the mindset if you aren't happy and can't change things; do everyone a favour and leave! so this week was quite interesting in some parts.
