That’s a great result for you, very pleased I commented now. Default will drop off immediately and the repaid fees and compensation basically clearing the balance , that’s a win win. Got to say Halifax Complaints Department are a lot faster and better than any others I’ve dealt with for my debts.

Yes they made it very stress free I have to admit, no flannel either they accepted it and looked to resolve straight away. They said late markers on credit file would be removed in 7-10 days however removing the payment arrangement could take up to 28 days. They also offered the GW as a direct payment into my bank account and not necessarily off the balance, but pleased I stuck with balance now. Overall it has all relatively painless.

Thank you @Weimsrock and @fatbelly for all your help, just had a call from Halifax, they agreed with everything I had raised in my complaint.  They apologised and agreed to write off all interest from 2014 onwards including any charges totalling £560, also going to update credit file to remove any negative data and remove the payment arrangement from 2020 and £150 good will. Which will leave me with a balance of around £160 left to pay.
Couldn't have done it without you, thanks B)
    That's a result!
