RTB and wife's bankruptcy, but I'm sole tenant and applicant.

Hi, interested in doing a council house  RTB. I'm sole tenant of property and can raise the funds required. Sticking point is my wife's ongoing bankruptcy. She isn't involved in any way with purchase. My only hesitancy is do creditors have any claim to property because we are married? Should we go ahead or wait for discharge?? Surely if her name is nowhere on deeds, mortgage application or tenancy then I'm hoping It will be OK.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

You would be best to wait for discharge IMO as your wife would potentially have a beneficial interest in the property.  Do you have any joint finances?
