amigo loans
Hi, so i need some help and don't know where to go...
I got an amigo loan out when i was 19 for £3000. Amigo never asked for proof of income or bank statement when i got accepted for my loan. Then they accepted my guarantor who is retired and can't cover my monthly payments if i can't afford them. I used the letters on here to complain to amigo and i got a very snotty email back from head office that explains they "took" my word that i could afford the monthly payments and they did all the credit credits on me... this was my first loan so my credit score was excellent. surely this is a valid claim as they asked for NO proof of income or what i spent each month? what can i do next ? any help would be great!

But did you misrepresent your income? Lenders generally assume you're telling the truth so don't often check income.

When I've gor credit card they didn't ask for proof of income but I assume they would cross reference to what i out on the credit files information when I signed up and what I chdck is correct each month.
