Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone else had waited this long/longer? I made my payment of 3 years NI contributions on 29 March, just checked this morning and it's not showing.
Should I phone and chase?

I think mine took about 3 months (and that was pre-pandemic) so I think you should allow a little longer.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

I made a contribution for 2020-21 in October and my record has still not been updated.

Thank you - I appreciate lockdown is delaying everything, it's just so odd not to get any type of acknowledgement that the money was received. I'll diary it for a month.£216 saved 24 October 20140

When I made a payment last October I was told to recontact about eight weeks after making the payment so that they could update my NI record. I did this and they confirmed they had received the payment and would now update the system. It took about another week to show on my record.0

Mine took 12 weeks. Combination of financial year end and Covid?0

I made a Class 2 NI payment to HMRC May 2019, it did not show up as payment for2018 2019 National Insurance until December 2019."it's just so odd not to get any type of acknowledgement that the money was received. I'll diary it for a month. " It is not odd at all when dealing with HMRC it is quite usual and has been for years. I would not bother doing a "diary it"as in most cases HMRC will probably not answer the phone. It will be credited when it is credited not before that.

Thanks drumtochty, my only dealings with HMRC were when my late husband's pension company overpaid me in the first six weeks of my bereavement, they were onto me extremely quickly.£216 saved 24 October 20140

My wife waited a long time for her payment to show up, and eventually called up to check the status. The person she got hold of said instantly that she could see the payment in the system but it had not been applied to the account. She said everything was fine. The very next day the payment showed up in my wife’s NI record

I think it took ours about 3 months before it showed up?

End of the tax year. Probably back queued as not a priority issue. Resources are finite.youth_leader said:Thank you - I appreciate lockdown is delaying everything, it's just so odd not to get any type of acknowledgement that the money was received. I'll diary it for a month.0
