Mortgage with Halifax with historical default

Hi. Just a quick question really. I am putting in my full mortgage application with Halifax tomorrow however I am concerned about a historical default I have with them from 2010. This is obviously no longer on my credit report as it was over a decade ago but I’m just concerned Halifax might have some internal checking that flags up things from over 6 years ago. Is this likely or am I worrying irrationally?

Thanks

@jd0963 As long as you have a DIP accept and the old default had nothing to do with the LBG group, you should be fine on that front.

I do have an agreement in principle but unfortunately the default was also registered against a CC I had with Halifax. I was hoping that as it was settled over 10 years ago that they wouldn’t really factor this into their decision? They’ve only ever asked me about issues in the last 6 years.

@jd0963 Unlike some other lenders, Halifax are more lenient in these matters so hopefully you’ll be fine. If it was Natwest I’d have said your chances are 50-50.
