Want to leave retail - jobs to look for

As thread title says, I want to leave retail (supermarket) to another venture.. Unsure where to explore. Reasons to leave retail include
. Lack of support from management esp on Sundays when we are very short staffed - yet getting more customers. Plus getting no help/support to stop banned customers trying to enter the store. One of these days, either one of us or a customer is going to get hurt. A member of staff from a shop 600m from my work got attacked by a banned customer (she's always drunk) and required 6 stitches to head. We aren't paid enough to deal with this stress.
. Lost the motivation to work in retail. A combination of both the above and the current pandemic are to blame.
. Inability to move from late night shifts to earlier ones as I getting tired so quickly now. Been referred to sleep clinic at a local hospital. When I have time off work and don;t work the late nights, I don't get tired as much.
I have worked in customer services and retail since I was 18. Worked in call centres and office work dealing with customers in a back office manner - which also required admin work. Can learn quickly on new systems etc. I don't really want to go back to call centre work as an advisor as such - though can do other work.
I'm 40 with own car and have space to wfh if needed.

DWP?
The only companies in 2020 not working weekends But would only pay you 16/17k were gardening outside companies. I had no idea who wouldnt need work from home at weekends during 2021.
wfh is dead unless you are a manager or have years behind you in a business. That said
the last 26 year old to frawn at me (because I'm older) was gone 2 months later in a call centre setting. I was getting on with answering telephone calls in front of CEO but others just couldn't.

What about trying a different sector to supermarkets where you get a different(better) customer mix.
Could still be general public, somewhere like a Screwfix, or Wicks, or more trade like a builders merchant.
If you have interests/hobbies, anything in that direction where you have transferable skills.
Hospitality is a sector looking for people but will have crossover with some of the things you are trying to get away from(shifts and drunk people if pub).
Are you looking for something that may have progression or just something that will give a suitable level of income.
Throw this out there for steady money, not for everyone
I know a couple of guys that have settled into the council operating within the street cleaning service.
Hours are generally fixed with early(finish 3pm/4pm) need to be an outdoor type as all weathers and reasonably fit to start pushing a big bin around most the day.
They get other jobs on top like help out the flytip team.
Occasional hassle from general public

The council where I live and work are doing a consultation about proposed car park charges which everyone is against it. With places nearby that charge for parking - its free on Sundays, that will mean more customers.0 -
I find most retail jobs, particularly supermarkets ask you to be fully flex with early and late shifts now. What home delivery driver? Iceland and Morrisons are always looking for them.0
