Mere, launched in Siberia in 2008 as Svetofor, now has over 3000 stores worldwide. Dubbed 'Russian Lidl' it launches in UK in July 2021, at Preston's Ribbleton with more due to be rolled out in Wales and Yorkshire.

There is absolutely no point in having 2 threads about the exact same thing so I'm not surprised it was merged.It's standard practice on any forum, although on many others I frequent they would simply have deleted the duplicate one. You could have searched first to see if there was already an existing thread.
