A common one I expect: my daughter made a plasticine nativity (yes, complete with tiny little bits of gold, frankincense and myrr!). Delightful, even for inveterate non-believers (I think they picked her as Mary as revenge). But we now have plasticine in the landlord's brand new carpet ... Thought I'd check for advice before pouring chemicals on it!

Have heard that WD40 disolves plasticine. Use only a very small amount though.

Hi kunekune,
How much plasticine is there? Is it totally ingrained? I once gave the carpet a slight haircut to get the bits of plasticine out but there wasn't a lot. I just clipped off the plasticine bits, gave the pile a good brush and it looked as good as new.
I know it's not exactly the same but some of the ideas on these older threads may help:
