UBER Charging Me For a Journey That took place 3 years ago - Rights?!

I was hoping someone could support. In December 2018 I took an Uber whilst in London.
I have not used Uber since last Saturday. I checked my Paypal account and saw they had charged me twice albeit different amounts. I queried this and they claim it is from the journey I had in 2018. They claim they failed to charge me at the time and this is an outstanding cost.
I find this hard to believe as remember at the time sharing the cost with a friend as I must have had some confirmation of the cost of the journey.
I have since changed banks so can't go through old accounts to verify I did pay. They say they don't investigate journeys that took place past 30 days so I am stuck.
The amount was only £24 but I think it is bad business practice. Do I have any rights? They have stopped communicating with me.
Thank you.

Whenever I get uber I always get an emailed receipt of the journey - so check that first to see what it says
You can still ask your old bank for their records on you, they normally keep them for 6 years so while you might need to DSAR them, they may be willing to provide just statements for that time period with something like in branch ID check1 -
I would have deleted the emails and I was with M&S bank who have recently folded! Do I have any rights for the fact they've charged me three years after the transaction due to a billing issue on their end? Thanks for your advice!! xDeleted_User said:Whenever I get uber I always get an emailed receipt of the journey - so check that first to see what it says

You have the right to dispute it is you can proove you already paid. Why delete emails? Keep records for 6 years like eveyone else should. At least it is not a lot to learn that lesson.1

You'll need to see if you can get the old emails or ask Uber for proof of the journey as a starter
M&S bank haven't folded, they simply stopped doing accounts so you can still DSAR them2
