    Wow! That's good!
I am also currently with NatWest and my term ends at the end of Sept. I'm free to fix a new deal with them now but the best they are offering me is 1.39% 5 year fixed. I'm well under 60% LTV.

    Or actually, is NW Nationwide?
    sorry, I mean Nationwide

yeah that was with a 999 fee (or 1.44% with no fee)
  • @daveaspy I don't mean to be Captain Hindsight; but why would you remortgage in advance of the end of the fixed term, when your offer is only decreasing, when all of the competition are dropping rates and nobody has increased their rates?  I just can't see how that could ever be wise

@clueless_but_curious because knowing my luck, I'd wait until November and find rates had gone up :disappointed:

I took the view that the last drop might well be the last given they are just fighting over tiny fractions of a percent, and didn't really think they could go much lower on a 5 year fix (they obviously have more scope to go lower on shorter deals, but less likely to go lower on longer deals). I also made sure the deal didn't start straight away and in the belief I can cancel it before it comes into effect if necessary.

    The rates continue to fall!
HSBC 75% LTV has gone from 1.49 to 1.44 to 1.39 to 1.29 to 1.19 to 1.09 in the space of two months!

0.94% HSBC 2-year fix at 60% LTV. Apparently their lower ever fixed rate.

75%?! Wow. I saw the 60% was but didn't clock the 75% rate was the same.
