Tax on EU income

in Cutting tax
Hi All,
newbie here so please go easy on me! I've also checked on this forum to see whether my question has been answered already but don't think it has cropped up before.
I may soon get regular income from work that I may do for a company based in the EU - but I will be based still here in the UK, while money will be paid into my UK bank account. Having never had to worry about anything other than PAYE, I'm relatively naive on taxes, but some research into this matter has led me to believe that I should either deal with the tax issue as self employed or via self assessment. Is that correct? Are there any complications that I should be aware of? Any links to useful resources would also be gratefully received!
Thanks in advance!

It would take a book to answer this properly. In brief, whether you are employed or self employed depends on the nature of the relationship between you and the EU based company. Start by looking at this:
