Consultancy Abroad

My Partner has been offered a three to four year consultancy roll in Vietnam by a German organisation.
They have stated he will not be an employee.
He will be paid in Euros.
I need some advice on how he will pay tax or NIC.
My partner is 65 years and wants to differed his state pension until the consultancy has finished and intends to return to the UK once completed.
What do we need to do?
Regards
Ron

Does he have the appropriate visa for living and working in Vietnam yet? Will he be based there most the time or just occasional visits? Who will be the counterpart to the contract? The entity in Germany or their Vietnam entity?

You'd need to check first of all what Vietnam allows in terms of foreign workers
