Anyone successfully applied for a loan after taking a Covid-related payment holiday?
Options
On the MSE Credit Club Eligibility Checker most of the loans list 'No payment holidays' under the criteria heading. Initially I was unsure whether it meant that the loan doesn't permit payment holidays, or that they won't accept anyone who has taken any sort of Covid-related payment holiday. Has anyone recently successfully applied for a loan after taking payment holidays on any other products?

It means the product doesn't offer payment holidays.
Some people who have had payment holidays will have been accepted for further borrowing, but overall their chances will have been reduced.0 -
Taking on new borrowing at this point in time, when lots of folk are still on furlough, or reduced hours, and in the current uncertain climate, is just a disaster waiting to happen.
Now more than ever, individuals should be learning to live within their means, not be looking to borrow money.
If its for a large purchase, try and put it off until the economic climate improves, for all we know we could be in another lockdown in a months time, Covid is still surging in some areas, and with new variants too, its not the time to be frivolous with money.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
