Discount for Students on SOCKSHOP

Found out today that when you use your student TOTUM card you can get 12% off on SOCKSHOP. I've used them quite a lot for running and fancy dress items in the past! I just googled it and managed to find the info - it's all here because I think you need to activate through the TOTUM app etc.

 I was going to get a new laptop from Dell through them saying 12% discount on totem and 10% discount on unidays. When I looked same laptop without discounted price on currys, I found it has 512gb ssd while dell had 256gb coming direct from the factory. So they are discounting 10% but taking off 50% of the laptop memory. Scam the lot of them

A new laptop from SOCKSHOP??? It's a sock shop so I don't think they sell computers ahaha!

The member is talking about Totum being a scam company, not sock shop

Oh I see!!! I did think that was a bit weird aha! Well the products may be different but I assumed Totum was legit? It's used in quite a lot of places isn'ti it?

Never heard of them but its a very long time since I was a student ! I think what some people think is that you are paying a yearly fee, in this case £14.99 so will you save that amount or more? Is it actually cheaper? Can I get it cheaper at another shop that totum doesnt offer a discount at cheaper?

Ah I seeee yeah I guess it depends how much you shop etc if there's a subscription fee! I suppose if you shop online regularly it's worth it, but otherwise may be cheaper to order direct
