I tried filling in the form but it does not recognize my national health number.

I am in N.I. and have my old NHS card, mine is a mix of letters and numbers.

Then tried putting postcode in and again refused to let me go further.

So is this record sharing only for England?

At the end of the day, NHS organisations are already in commercial arrangements to provide patient services such as operations, specialist care, research & innovation.

Regardless of the arguments for and against, everyone should be given the choice of whether or not to share their private data with 3rd party organisations.

If you aren't even aware of the issue, where is the choice?

It's just England. Also, GP Patient data grab has just been pushed back to 1 September.

Strange how the BBC don't put this story on the main page, considering it affects 67 million people, but instead hides it under the 'Tech' and 'Politics' tabs.

It would appear 'privacy' is not as immportant as 'halogen bulbs' or 'popup campsites'...

To be fair, I was hearing it all day on BBC Radio news, whereas I can't say bulbs or campsites registered.
