Court records not updated by Mortimer Clarke

I paid off a £4000 CCJ via MC last November. When I recently checked my court records it stated I still owed the full amount. I contacted MC and they said they would ‘close’ the record and send confirmation to the court. I asked that they also sent me a letter confirming my full payment. They have done neither. What can I do? As far as the courts are concerned I still owe the full amount!

Courts won’t be interested, there role is just to pass judgment, not to enforce it.
As long as your debt is paid, your fine.
I would suggest you exhaust Mortimer Clarke’s complaints procedure to get this resolved.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I will do that, its frustrating as I want to clear my judgement off my records and this would have been off 6 months ago if MC had followed it through0
