@happyhouse_1982 These are HSBC's published average service levels. https://intermediaries.hsbc.co.uk/our-latest-service-levels.htmlThey aren't currently taking anywhere close to a month for straightforward PAYE applications that have been packaged correctly. But with the amount of to and fro indicated in your post, each time new information is submitted it adds 3-5 working days to the timelines so it isn't surprising that it's taken this long. It's poor practice if he isn't keeping you updated on progress or setting the correct expectation. But, to be fair once the documents or information is submitted with mainstream lenders like HSBC, there is nothing to do but wait till the underwriter picks it up for review.

I am a straight forward paye person. HSBC asked for another payslip on 24 may and this was sent off on 24 may. Hopefully here something next week.0

I submitted mine with TSB last Friday, by Tues this week they had a query about a direct debit, and then yesterday they had another query about my child maintainence payments. My broker today said she had rang them today and they said Tuesday because of bank hol theyl be looking at it again. I wasn't expecting it all to be so quick If I'm honest I thought at least 2 weeks0
