in Cutting tax
Hi,
I have submitted 'DS01 application' to stuck off my ltd company while I received 'Notice to delivery company tax return' for 2020-21. Is this a general reminder they send at the end of each year ? There is no deadline so assuming the deadline is Jan 2021 for submission of corporation tax.
I am assuming if there would be any objection from HMRC then they would object during company dissolving process? I want to get rid of this company ASAP as I have massive lost last year and can't cope with this company anymore.
Thanks

HMRC may well object to the striking off proposal if they are expecting a CT return to be submitted for the latest period. You'd have been better to tell HMRC you were going to strike off and submit any accounts/returns they may want, before you applied for striking off. Presumably you submitted accounts/CT return for the 19/20 year end? If so, then unless you've told HMRC you stopped trading in that 19/20 year, they'll be waiting for accounts/returns for the 20/21, particularly if you were still trading in that year.1
