The course needs to comply with the student loan requirements, you will also need to comply with the course requirements.

    If you’re studying full-time
You may be eligible for student finance if your course is in the UK and one of the following:

a first degree, for example BA, BSc or BEd
    a Foundation Degree
    a Certificate of Higher Education
a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE)
    a Higher National Certificate (HNC)
    a Higher National Diploma (HND)
    an Initial Teacher Training course
    an integrated master’s degree
    a pre-registration postgraduate healthcare course
Check on the student finance calculator to find out which loans and grants you could be eligible for.

    If you’re studying part-time
Your course needs a ‘course intensity’ of 25% or more for you to be eligible for student finance.
You’ll be eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan if your course is in the UK and one of the following:

a first degree, for example BA, BSc or BEd
    a Foundation Degree
    a Certificate of Higher Education
a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE)
    a Higher National Certificate (HNC)
    a Higher National Diploma (HND)
    an Initial Teacher Training course
    an integrated master’s degree

I suppose you might be able to find, eg, an HNC/D in photography/film that includes it as part of the course but then the savings form the student loan vs commercial rates will be far outweighed by the higher cost of the course

Have you researched that there are employment opportunities for drone pilots? My local facebook has lots of people offering this kind of service - many of which look very professional, but little uptake.

Do you currently own a drone and are you a skilled operator? If not, and you're serious about this as a career opportunity, getting in plenty of practice might be a good starting point. Anyone using your services will be far more interested in what you can do than any paper qualifications (although sometimes these will be needed, so practical skills alone won't always be enough).
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
