Hi all.
Desperately need some advice.
I went bankrupt on 26th April. I had my.phone interview with the OR. Then recevied an email saying they have assesed my case and decided there is no need for any further information.
Today I recevied a letter from HMRC saying my tax code will chane to NT.
I have not had any call from any IPA or anything like that, i spoken to the OR 3 weeks back and she said everythings done.
Do i have to put the tax money aside in a saver account incase they ask for it.
Also what happens about IPA phone calls. I thought it had all gone through, so shocked today when I received the letter.
Any help appreciated
Thankyou

The IPA assessments are done by a separate team to the person you spoke to. If you’ve not had any correspondence from the OR’s office to say no IPA will be necessary then you’ve not yet been assessed. It would be a good idea to keep your tax money aside as soon as the NT code kicks in until you have had the IPA assessment.0

I was asked for the tax by the OR around the time I was discharged, so definitely keep it handy.BR 14/08/2011 didn’t learn my lesson 😬
