I've just received a letter stating that I owe them over £400 from 2012, but usually when I receive the next years revised payments, if any payment is outstanding it has to be paid before the next years payments start. Failing that they usually start with the threats of extra charges. Any help please!

Contact the council and ask them why do they think you owe them £400 plus.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
